Water follows us, quietly. Across cities and seasons, it remembers what we forget: the softness of light, the stillness of waiting wings.

I’ve painted by ponds and stood by lakes, always listening for the same thing: a kind of peace that speaks without words. It’s there in the movement of a duck across still water, in the silence between breath and reflection, that we find home.

Art, to me, is that same silence — a way of hearing what the world is already saying.
